A problem of education

Hi Guys!! How are you? Today I´m going to talking about a talk that gave Ken Robinson in wich mentions that is surprised of how the educational system discards the human creativity. He thinks that  the creativity is as process of having original ideas that have value and to which is reached only if there is no fear of wrong, but  now  in all countries is used the same educational system, that stigmatizes to mistakes of them students, so people are being educated to leaving their creative abilities. This event is reflected in the hierarchy of subjets and the idea that the subjets most useful for work are more important than others. Many people are intelligent and talented, but they don´t believe it, because their capacity does not value or is stigmatized. Finally, he proposes that we have to rethink the fundamental principies on wich are being educating to children and of this way assure them a good future.
I completely agree with what he says, because I experienced it. I always have wanted be actress, but when I told to my family and to other people that I would wanted to study theater, they told me "I would die of hunger", because they considered that this was not a profession but a hobby, that was not profitable. For example, my grandmum said “you have to be a doctor because you will win a lot of money and you have the capacity for do it” and now I can recognized that she was not able to see my talent.
So, we have to empower the talents that have the children…any be this.

Special photograph

Hello classmates.  In this ocassion I want to show you a photograph that has a special meaning  for me. The photograph was taken by my uncle and it shows a cascade called “Ojos del Caburga”. It was taken on February ,2011. I love this picture because it does me remember  my holidays in south of Chile and it gets to move me to that incredible moment and give me serenity.  Personally, I think that the south of Chile is a paradise, I believe that this place is magic for its nature, weather and calm that you can live there. In the future I would like to live in any place of south of our country, I want to live as far away of the civilization, like a hermit…well, not so extreme! Now just I can see this picture and enjoy it…dreaming that one day I will live there.
I hope you like it :)

Addictive to cheese

Hi everyone! I hope that you all had a nice long weekend. Today I`m going to talk about food. Is true, I always try to care my body eating sane, but I have to accept that I love any foods and I lose control when they`re near to me, I love chocolate, ice cream and cheese…(well, who doesn`t?). I think cheese is delicious, and I heard from many people the same thing. Today I was surfing into the internet and I found an article in the website www.dsc.discovery.com called “Is cheese addictive?” and I was surprised because it explained that is possible feel a borderline addiction for cheese (my case).  In the article said that the effects of pleasure produced at eat cheese could be by a protein that has the milk, called casein, which produces casomorphins. It`s incredible!! So many times feeling guilty for eat cheese like crazy, and now I know that I have a scientific explanation... Anyway, I'm not going to change my habit. Also, all of this research isn’t to say that cheese doesn’t have its benefits, too. The delicious product contains plenty of calcium, a necessity for strong bones and teeth, and is definitely part of a healthy, balanced diet. I know that any excess isn`t good…but, what do you think? Are you addictive to any food? Are you a mouse that loves cheese like me?
See you soon in class :)
