The divided brain (last post)

Hello Guys!!! This is my last post, I have to confess that I enjoyed write in the blog every weeks…but now I will take a mini-holidays.
Well, today I want to talking about a video of Psychiatrist Iain McGilchrist who describes the real differences between the left and right halves of the human brain.  He explain that the division of the brain is something neuroscientists don´t like to talk about  and also people have given up talking about it, because it's not simply "emotion on the right, reason on the left," as everyone think but something far more complex and interesting.
To respect I can say that I knew something about this topic because I saw this matter in a course called Neurosciences in past year. I remember that the teacher told us that the brain is compose for the corpus callosum, whose main function is to inhibit the other hemisphere. Also, I know that in the right hemisphere is located attention sustained, broad, open and vigilant. While in the left hemisphere we can find attention to detail, narrow, sharply focused.  Truth is a very interesting topic.
If you want know more about this phenomen you can find more information in this link http://www.ted.com/talks/iain_mcgilchrist_the_divided_brain.html, I recommend it completely.
It´s time to say goodbye. I hope that you have enjoyed reading my blog, because I always tried to write interesting things. And I hope see you next semester.
Greetings to everyone!!
